| 2005年5月23—26日，我所张风雷教授、魏德东副教授代表中国学者应邀在北京京师大厦出席“2005年（第10届）国际《法华经》学术研讨会”（2005 International Lotus Sutra Conference）。本次会议是在日本立正佼成会资助下，由美国芝加哥大学（University of Chicago）退休哲学教授Gene Reeves发起组织的，共有来自美国、日本和中国的13位学者发表论文（其中2人因故未能出席会议）。本次会议以《法华经》和天台宗思想为主题，展开了热烈的学术讨论。去年，我所魏德东副教授和北京大学的李四龙副教授曾代表中国学者赴日本参加“2004年（第9届）国际《法华经》学术研讨会”。
