Ge Rongjin, from Jiyuan city, Hanan province. Graduated at department of philosophy, Renmin University of China in 1960, and began to work at the department, and now as a professor and supervisor of Ph.D students. In 1993 was titled as an expert of outstanding contribution by the State Council. More than 30 academic titles: the president of Research Association of Chinese Shixue, vice-president of Association of Confucius, council of International Confucian Federation, professor of Hongkong University, etc. Having presided and attended more than 30 international conferences, and published 20 works, and about 300 papers, and compiled 10 books. 7 works got various awards. Among them, the History of Chinese Shixue, got the Excellent Academic Work Award of Education Ministry, and the Ninth National Book Award in 1995.
