Han Donghui is Professor of western philosophy, and vice-dean of the school, as well as the webmaster of POL and SPH. He joined the faculty in 2000 after graduate with Ph.D. from Philosophy Department of RUC. From 1990 to 2000, he spent ten years in RUC, learning and researching philosophy, and finally served as faculty member in the same department. What he did can be divided into four aspects, including teaching, researching, establishing and managing several websites for the department (school now), and some administrative services for the school. The foci of his teaching and research are modern philosophy, analytic philosophy, selected readings in English, Western philosophical wisdom and so on. He published a book on Spinoza's metaphysics and tens of articles in Social Sciences in China and others, edited some textbooks and translated some works from English to Chinese.
He has taught twelves kinds of courses for undergraduates and postgraduates in nine years, including:
He published tens of papers, three in Social Sciences in China, and two in Journal of Renmin University of China, and so on, and one book on Spinoza's metaphysics (The Harmony between God and Human, Renmin University Press, 2008).
He was awarded several times such as the Award from New Century Excellent Talents in University (NCET 2009), Fok Ying Tun Education Foundation (2008), Baosteel Education Foundation (2006), RUC (2005) and the Best Doctorial Dissertation of RUC in 2001, as well as the National Award for Higher Education 2005.
He was aided a program by National Funds of Social Sciences in 2003, and Fok Ying Tun Education Foundation in 2008, and a program from RUC.
